SLR International Corporation Project Engineer Or Scientist in Fort Collins, Colorado

SynopsisSLR International Corporation is currently seeking a Project Engineer orScientist with at least three years of experience in providing AirQuality-related support to industrial clients, to join our team in FortCollins. Experience with Alaska air permitting is preferred, but notrequired. The successful candidate will work with a strong team of engineersand scientists to primarily support oil and gas sector clients, with anemphasis on air emissions inventory reporting and air quality permitting andregulatory compliance work. The candidate may also have opportunities tosupport mining and minerals, chemical manufacturing, power, and otherindustrial sector clients.This position offers room for growth and is designed for an individual withindustry or consulting experience, looking to implement and expand their airquality skill set. This full-time position requires an onsite presence at ourFort Collins, Colorado office and is an excellent opportunity to join adynamic and growing international environmental consulting organization.Required Technical Skills and Experience Bachelor of Science in engineering, earth sciences, or other relevanttechnical science degree program Minimum of three years of experience providing air emissions inventorydevelopment and reporting, and air quality permitting and compliance supportto oil and gas and other industrial sectors Air pollutant emission source calculations using mass balance and emissionfactors Air permitting experience, including minor and/or synthetic minorconstruction permits and Title V Air quality regulatory analysis (state and federal Clean Air Actregulations) Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in technicalwriting; high-level attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook) Valid driver's license and ability to travel by airplane and car,including overnight travelPreferred Technical Skills and Experience Experience with Alaska air permitting Compliance reporting, including criteria pollutant and GHG emissioninventories PSD/NSR air permitting experience Air quality modeling experience (AERMOD) Proficient with supplemental Microsoft Office software (Access,PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Permit review with technical and regulatory evaluation Knowledge of, and experience with, any of the following federalregulations NSPS Subparts GG, KKKK, KKK, J/Ja, GGG/VV, IIII,JJJJ, Da, Db, Dc, K, Ka, Kb, OOOO, OOOOa, NESHAP SubpartsHH, ZZZZ, YYYY, CCCCCPersonal Attributes and Traits Self-motivated; strong analytical, organizational, and multi-taskingskills; detail-oriented Willing and eager to learn new skills Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Excellent time management skills Proactive in planning ahead and problem solving Ability to interface with clients and internal stakeholdersResponsibilities Provide air quality permitting and regulatory compliance support toindustrial clients Analyze industrial processes and operations to quantify air pollutantemissions Generate emissions calculations or estimates using spreadsheets,databases, third party software, and process simulation software toquantify air emissions from industrial emission sources Review federal, state, and local regulations to identify applicablerequirements governing the operation of air emission sources Prepare air quality permit applications to obtain authorization toconstruct and operate air pollutant emission sources Develop and use data management systems and tools to track compliance withpermit requirements and air regulations, and prepare compliance reports Review draft air permits and prepare detailed comments to addresstechnical and regulatory errors Prepare proposals, reports, and other written deliverablesAbout SLRSLR is an independent and employee controlled international environmentalconsultancy that has an unrivaled reputation for provid
