TOLMAR Inc. Microbiology Environmental Monitoring Associate III in Fort Collins, Colorado

Purpose and ScopeAs a key member of the Microbiology department, the Microbiology EMAssociate III will support the Environmental Monitoring Program in a GMPQuality organization. Will lead and perform all aspects of EnvironmentalMonitoring for water, compressed gases, personnel and facilities.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform Environmental monitoring in an aseptic environment (batch,routine, gowning monitoring and utilities testing). Lead in the set up on EM laboratory and manage the EM lab daily operations. Incubate and enumerate organisms on cultured media. Provide EM support including review, tracking of EM of Microbiologyresults in support of product release. Responsible for the accurate recording, review and storage of laboratorydata. Ensure timely completion and subsequent data review of routinemicrobiological data. Facilitate and assist with facility qualification. Ensure proper equipment function, calibration, maintenance andtroubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Initiate, investigate and complete investigations (Excursions,CAPA) to aid in the determination of root causes. Support regulatory inspections. Train other EM Associates. May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of cGMP regulations. Strong verbal, written communication skills and computer skills arerequired. Must be goal-oriented, quality-conscientious, and customer-focused. Proficiency in Excel is highly desirable. Knowledge of laboratory science principles. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions andlaboratory test methods. Ability to work independently and cooperatively on a team. Acceptable MVR and valid driver s license required.Education & Experience Associates in degree in Microbiology or closely related field required;Bachelor s degree in closely related field preferred. A minimum experience of 4 years in the pharmaceutical andbiopharmaceutical industry. A minimum of 2 years experience in Microbiology and EnvironmentalMonitoring.Working Conditions Working conditions vary; work may be performed in but is not limited tothe aseptic area, mechanical areas, and laboratory. Laboratory setting. Will be exposed to bio-hazardous materials,hazardous waste, and pharmaceuticals. May require occasional holiday, weekend and/or evening work.
