In-Situ Inc. Manufacturing Test Engineer in Fort Collins, Colorado

Position title: Manufacturing Test EngineerReports to: Production Engineering ManagerDepartment: OperationsIn-Situ Inc. is a leading manufacturer of innovative environmentalmonitoring equipment. We are looking for passionate,hands-on individuals who will continue to drive improvements to our productioncapabilities and manufacturing test hardware/software as well as championefforts to take our manufacturing processes to the next level.Primary Responsibilities - As a Manufacturing Test Engineer at In-Situ ,you will create and support production test equipment used on the productionfloor to assemble, calibrate, and test our products. This includesdesigning and building test/assembly fixtures, creating manufacturingprocedures and developing software for automated testing/data collection.In-Situ uses lean manufacturing practices that allow each product to beassembled, calibrated, and tested in the production cell. TheManufacturing Test Engineer will work directly with Production and ProductDevelopment teams to create safe, stable, and efficient manufacturing testprocesses. Ultimately, you will ensure that our final products meet ourproduct safety, quality, and performance standards.Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Test Engineer. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanicalengineering, industrial engineering or equivalent with strong softwareprogramming experience. Proficiency with software languages: C#, C++ / MFC, and SQL. Ability to work in Visual Studio, Microsoft Access, SQL Server,and Windows application development. Strong background in developing modular, reusable test hardware andsoftware. Ability to design and take ownership of test stations includingmechanical drawings, electrical schematics, instrumentation specificationsand software code. Introduce new products on schedule by coordinating with DesignEngineering, Program Management and Operations teams to deliver theappropriate test systems and procedures. Demonstrated resourcefulness to comprehend legacy hardware/softwaresystems and develop a migration strategy to upgrade to current standards. Aggregate, assess and analyze production test data to recommendproduct design improvements and implement continuous improvements inproduction Self-Starter with excellent problem-solving skills, analyticalmindset, and the ability to prioritize complex tasks. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety ofdifferent functional teams. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.Desired Skills: Demonstrated skills in mathematics and statistics with experience inMatlab, Python, R, PowerShell, and/or Minitab programming a plus.
