Troubleshoot and analyze injection molding productionprocessesRole Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesPerform mold, material and auxiliary setups for production runs. Followsafety procedures and maintain high productivity by coordinating resources.Troubleshoot problems to ensure minimum downtime.Communicate/interact with appropriate personnel to ensure high-qualityproduction parts, adequate crossover information, and production scheduleattainment.Responsible for following quality system procedures. Assist in proceduredevelopment when required. Ensure product quality and take appropriate actionwhen non-conformities are identified. Maintain accurate records, as required.Participate on appropriate teams (i.e., kaizen, inventory, FirstResponse, 6-S, etc.). Take and active part in the performance review process.Promote continuous improvement by learning new techniques and possessing awillingness to maintain current technical knowledge of the injection moldingfield. Supports molding production schedule, manages inventory levels, andmaintains proper storage of material and supplies within area ofresponsibilityContribute to ongoing continuous improvement of departmental documentationsystems.Conduct all activities in a fair, ethical manner which is in compliance withall corporate policies.Essential Functions Quality:Perform basic courtesy First Part inspection, addendum inspections, andmelt flow index inspections of plastic resins as required with limitedsupervision. Operate the Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical Comparatorand various inspection equipment including calipers and micrometers, ifapplicaAdvise appropriate personnel of required updates on part inspectionprocedures, blueprints, SPC records and inspection records.Responsible for following quality system procedures. Assists in proceduredevelopment when required. Ensures product quality and takes appropriateaction when non-conformances are identified.
