AceInfo is currently seeking a GIS Technician to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.
The Program provides a full spectrum of innovative business and professional services for developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-class business applications to federal and non-federal agencies.
AceInfo is seeking a part-time GIS technician to provide GIS support for federal animal health emergency response activities. The GIS technician will perform data entry, manage data and services in an ArcGIS Portal environment, and provide cartographic support to animal health emergency response teams. The technician shall provide support for 20 hours per week, and some weekend work will be required. Job Duties include but may not be limited to:
· Develop cartographic map products for outbreak and other emergency response needs
· Publish maps and data to the agency’s GIS Portal
· Process GIS data via python scripts and manual methods
· Utilize various GIS software daily (Pro, Portal, AGOL, ArcGIS suite, Feature Analyst/remote sensing software) for various GIS projects
· Develop ad hoc map products for animal disease events and other VS priorities
· Document workflows, methods, SOPS for GIS projects
· Other tasks typical for a GIS Technician
Three years of GIS experience, a degree in GIS, Geography, Natural Resources, or related field, and experience providing GIS support in emergency response situations.
