Position Summary

Researches, develops, and designs a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes. Has comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application. Responsible for performing all aspects of engineering and design. Works under minimal supervision, work is reviewed for adequacy on completion. May provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.

  • Under direct supervision, performs engineering activities.

  • Prepare engineering specifications and requisition packages for inquiry and purchase.

  • Prepare technical bid evaluations and make recommendations for purchase.

  • Review supplier data to assure specifications and project requirements are met.

  • Review critical path and long lead equipment packages.

  • Provide technical direction for project machinery selection.

  • Coordinate client requirements and standards.

  • Interface with suppliers for compliance with equipment performance metrics.

  • Keen safety awareness.

  • Able to perform job walks wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in an operating facility.

Qualifications

  • Recognized Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or University required.

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience required.

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Prior experience Prior experience in Oil and Gas is preferred.

  • Experience with mechanical requisitions, equipment sizing, specifications, and equipment selection preferred.

  • Registered P.E. license preferred.
