DescriptionJob SummaryManage and coordinate all manufacturing quality assurance and quality controlactivities. Serve as the PMA Accountable Manager and primary representative ofUnited Rotorcraft to the FAA-MIDO. Serve as ISO9001/AS9100 ManagementRepresentative.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Serve as the ISO9001/AS9100 Management Representative for the UnitedRotorcraft divisionDevelop and conduct quality systems training, such as ISO9001/AS9100Awareness training, PMA compliance training, internal auditor training,etc. as requiredServes as the PMA Accountable Manager and is the primary contact with theFAA-MIDO office for all FAA-related communications pertaining to PMAmanufacturing, including reporting of failures, malfunctions, anddefects as required by 14 CFR Part 21 * 21.3Ensures compliance with required quality systems requirements, includingISO9001/AS9100 standards and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations asit relates to the Part 21-Parts Manufacturing Approval and the approved FAAProduction Quality ManualEnsures adequacy, compliance, and appropriate distribution of the FAAProduction Quality Manual and applicable Quality Control Systems manuals andproceduresEnsures that all PMA approved parts meet type design and are manufactured inaccordance with applicable engineering drawings and specifications; ensuresall documentation of completed work orders and inspection documents complieswith current record retention and retrieval requirements (e.g. 14 CFR andFAA Production Quality Manual)Manages/facilitates all external quality audits, including AS9100,FAA-MIDO, DCMA, customer, etc.Establishes and facilitates internal audits of manufacturing processes toensure continued compliance to applicable regulatory and organizationalrequirementsUpdate and maintain existing quality system documentation to meet additionalrequirements; develop new process flows and documentation for new processesidentified as neededAct as resource as necessary on preparation and revision of procedures andwork instructionsManage the Continuous Improvement processes, including all CAPA projects,working with process owners as necessary to complete required root causeanalysis activities and corrective action plansResponsible to ensure that United Rotorcraft Supplier Quality Managementprocesses and suppliers comply with all applicable regulations, standards,and customer requirementsAssist management with quality and performance data analysis, including thedevelopment of QCD metrics for manufacturing; works with QA team to monitormanufacturing supplier performanceCoordinate, plan, prepare, monitor, and forecast budget(s) forarea(s) of responsibilityDefine and develop department resource requirements, including staffing,software, computers, etc., requirements and communicate to Sr. Directorof Safety and QualityAssist leadership as needed with division communications, meetings,special assignments, and activities associated with Quality SystemsWork with customer quality representatives as needed to ensure UnitedRotorcraft meets customer quality requirements (e.g. Elite Supplier programs)Other Duties as assigned.Additional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position.
