Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe staff Geologist 1 will primarily provide environmental field support oncharacterization and remediation projects. Including any of the followingtasks: operations and maintenance of remediation systems; soil, surfacewater, and groundwater sampling; Geoprobe operation and boring logging;subcontractor oversight; groundwater monitoring well installation; dataevaluation and tabulation; management and oversight of subcontractors, andother environmental project support tasks. The candidate will be required towork alone or with a team and is expected to be self-motivated and have gooddocumentation and reporting skills. Perform other duties as needed.QualificationsRequired QualificationsDegree in Geology2 or more years' technical experience.Must be mechanically inclined and able to operate groundwater pumps andenvironmental monitoring equipment, and other relevant environmental fieldrelated duties.Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone and within a teamenvironment; with excellent time management skills.Must have the availability for extended field work and travel.Computer skills, written communication, HAZWOPER 40-hour certification,and a good understanding of working on Federal projects are a plus.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culture is a mustWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it'salso about what you do and how you do it.
