Position Overview: This position is responsible for developing sophisticated industrial automation, plant control, database and data communication applications, using state-of-the-art software across a wide range of industries. Our four major target markets are Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Power, and Process Chemical.
The main function of this position is the development of PLC/PAC (Programmable Logic Controller/Programmable Automation Controller) based controls and HMI/SCADA (Human Machine Interface/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems) visualization applications. These applications are developed in a multitude of proprietary programming languages designed by vendor companies including GE, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware, Invensys, etc.
These Engineers will work on a project from the beginning to the end of the project; which means the design, development, in-house testing, and commissioning of the system at the customer’s location are performed by the same individual. Advanced training will be provided to enhance their skill set for the clients they are assigned to and the platforms they will be using. Project Engineers are expected to be proficient in multiple hardware/software platforms.
Project Engineers must demonstrate the capability of managing a project by themselves under supervision of their assigned Project Manager. This involves the implementation of project standards throughout the Design, Development, Testing and Commissioning phases. Project Engineers/Specialist are also expected to mentor less experienced employees and assist them with understanding project requirements and ENE standards. One of the most important requirements is client interaction. This includes but is not limited to operators, technicians, vendors, project managers, and on occasion corporate personnel.
- An Engineering Degree from an institution with an ABET accredited engineering program, an Engineering Technology Degree or a degree in Computer Science.
- 3-7 years of experience in the Automation industry.
- Advanced to expert capability in both PLC and HMI Design, Development, Testing and Commissioning functions.
- A complete operational understanding of current Microsoft Windows and Office products is required.
- Strong documentation skills and client communication

The ability to travel to customer locations. Typical travel schedules are 1-2 weeks. Travel in this position can range from 25-40%.
