This position is aleadership position requiring the skills and experience to manage ourgeotechnical services organization, develop strategic visions and tacticalplans, contemplate and participate in the hiring process, promote staffinteraction and communication, promote staff technical development andinvolvement in technical programs, manage workshare and project assignmentsand provide direct project support in leading select projects or other relatedassignments nationwide.This role is a key management role and will work with other Business Groups,Market Sectors and Business Classes in supporting their client's projectneeds. Involvementin all phases of project development is expected. This position requirestravel to support select project pursuits and delivery nationally.Location and TravelThe geographic location of this position is non-specific; however, alocation with significant HDR presence is preferred.UtilizationThe responsibilities of this role is split between leading the geotechnicalorganization (work planning, hiring, staff development, interactionand communication, etc.) to business development (strategic and tacticalplanning) to supporting technical delivery with various market sectors andbusiness groups. However, as a seller-doer, this position will beactively engaged in project and program work with a steady-state utilizationgoal of at least 40% on billable project work after the initial year. Thetype of work will depend largely on the engagement, but would likely beadvisory, Project Principal, quality or technical reviews utilizing theindividual's strengths and experiences. Master's degreepreferrMinimum of 15 years in leading regional or national engineering services formajor transportation industry projects.Maintained client relationships with public agencies and other privateentities, and have a track record of success in this arena.Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs.Experienced in development and management of a
