**TOOLER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY FOR A MAJOR METAL PRODUCER IN HOUSTON**Responsibilities: Reads and interprets prints or work instructions to ensure that tools anddies are prepared in accordance with specifications. Visually inspect tooling for damages. Inspects product by, sing measuring equipment such as tape measure,calipers, gauges, straight edges, etc. to insure conformance tospecifications. Read prints to determine tolerances. Inspect dies after use for potential re-application. Reports die condition via die inspection reports Prepares dies for coating through operation of 50-ton pres. Weld dies. Coat dies by using flame spraying machine to affix protective ceramiccoating. Operates sandblasting equipment to roughen and clean surface of dies. Preheat dies in oven. Assembles tooling components. Maintain tooling inventory system. Prepare glass pads. Package tools for shipping. Inspect product by using measuring equipment such as tape measures,calipers, gauges, straight edges, etc, to insure conformance tocustomer specifications. Visually examines products, and marks type of defect on tooling orinspection tag. Classifies and describes defects to support cause and corrective action(CCA) Reports and documents inspections results. Supports company's trace-ability and identification requirements. Read prints to determine tolerances Verifies sub-contractor inspection reports Provide feedback to engineering manager on tooling status. Support the tooling inventory system. Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs.
