Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.HDR Engineering is looking for a Substation Project Engineer to join ourgrowing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in ourBillings, MT office.The primary duties of the Project Engineer include responsibility forknowledge and execution of the technical aspects and deliverables of projectsassigned and is an experienced, competent engineer who generally understandsand can complete all technical requirements of projects of basic to moderatecomplexity.* Assigns tasks and provides guidance to junior team members, andcoordinates QC reviews for work performed by junior level engineers and/ordesigners.* Work with Senior Engineers and the Business Class Leader to identify anddevelop specific technical expertise and will attend training and seminarsfocused on further development and understanding of complex concepts relatedto their discipline.* May also assist with developing technical papers and/or presentationsthat showcase HDR's technical capabilities at industry conferences or otherevents.* Responsible for quality control reviews of projects from other teams on anas needed basis.* Works independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or superviseefforts of less-experienced EIT's and/or Designers. *LI-PH1QualificationsRequired Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering* PE* 5 years of experience in substation physical design or controls andrelaying design is required.* Specific experience performing aspects associated with substation designincluding One Line Diagrams General Arrangements Sections Grounding ConduitPlans Foundation Plans Material Lists Relay and Control Systems ControlSchematics and Wiring Diagrams is required.* Strong computer skills, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and electrical designsoftware* Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineeringconsulting firm desired* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culture is a must* Some travel may be required.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's alsoabout what you do and how you do it.
