Sr. Engineer Travel Technician Worldwide TechServices is a global leader in delivering technology services and solutions to the world’s most demanding clients. Worldwide TechServices is looking for a regular full time Sr. Engineer Travel Technician to join its Infrastructure Delivery team. Reporting to the Branch Manager the Sr. Engineer Travel Technician will perform a variety of hardware focused, break fix services and solutions on various client products including desktops, laptops, televisions, basic printers, MF printers and Desk Side Support services. Candidates must possess the ability to perform basic, moderately complex and complex troubleshooting and repair activities. Position may require the exercise of basic, moderately complex and complex analytical skills and to make decisions based on established department and company guidelines. This role requires frequent travel in support of the field organization. May also assist other organizations in support of company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support for designated equipment

  • Answer client questions in a professional manner

  • Meet established customer service satisfaction criteria as outlined in established guidelines and policies Complete all administrative tasks associated with each call as documented in established policies and guidelines

  • Complete real time reporting of all calls as documented in established policies and guidelines

  • Follow various established policies, guidelines and documents relative to the successful delivery of service for each client

  • Ensure control of assets and inventory through prompt turnaround of parts and equipment as required by client service agreements

  • Report all time, mileage and other requirements in an accurate and timely manner

  • Accept and deliver all service calls assigned for each client Understand all safety policies and guidelines and works within the guidelines and policies on a daily basis

  • May provide functional guidance to colleagues

  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

  • Other requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended

Requirements

Certifications/Qualifications

  • Typically requires technical school certification or equivalent and 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time

  • Travel will be via ground and air. Ground travel requires use of personal vehicle and required insurance and driver’s license

  • Maintain all required certifications as directed by management

  • Knowledge of relevant software and hardware

Skills

  • Ability to communicate regarding technical issues with clients

  • Ability to drive long distances Ability to work overtime as required

  • Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to drive long distances, and frequent overnight assignments

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable transportation with valid registration and adequate insurance

  • Additional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended

  • Must own a basic repair tool kit

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products and operating systems

  • Must have daily access to an internet capable computer and printer Must be part of a stand-by rotation
