WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr. Consultant Architect with the potential to work out of Washington, DC; Seattle, WA; Federal Way, WA; Denver, CO; New York City, NY; Virginia Beach, VA; or San Diego, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to private and public facilities master plans (including for federal facilities and Department of Defense facilities), resiliency planning, transportation planning, urban planning and landscape planning and design.

  • Work as part of a team on facility planning projects, stakeholder interviews, existing conditions analysis using Revit/AutoCAD, develop high quality plan graphics, renderings and 3D models using applicable software as well as hand drawing.

  • Develop construction documents for a wide range of Federal facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Architect Degree

  • 5+ years of practical experience in architecture/facilities planning

  • Eligibility for US government Secret level security clearance

  • Ability to conduct independent research and interest in sustainable and resilient design

  • Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D modeling

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team oriented/mentoring environment

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Architecture degree

  • An active Secret security clearance

  • Architect registration

  • NCARB Certification

  • Experience in the following areas: Department of Defense, Federal Agencies, Architecture/Building Design, Concept Planning, Facilities Blocking & Stacking, Facilities Master Planning, Feasibility Analysis, Military Master Planning, Renderings & Presentations, Secure Facilities Planning, Secure Space Planning, Site Analysis & Design, Site Suitability Analysis, Space Programming, Space Planning, Tenant Fit-Out, Urban Design, Construction Documents
