Page 1 of 2Site Logistics SupervisorJOB LOCATION:Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall IslandsIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Operations Support ManagerPRIMARY FUNCTION:Organizes and maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items; securing warehouse; supervising staff; writing Purchase Order. Reports to Operation Support ManagerTYPICAL DUTIES: 1. Receive shipping notification and documentation of upcoming shipments in preparation for offloading and reconciliation. 2. Coordinate with Site Project Manager and/or Superintendent and advise upcoming shipments for schedule updates, storage requirements and location. 3. Prepare and deliver materials to individual job sites, noting location and ensuring jobsite warehouse personal signs for material including equipment needed to perform such delivery. 4. Reconcile all received materials and prepare discrepancy report. 5. Prepare and deliver materials to individual job sites, noting location and ensuring jobsite warehouse personnel sign for materials delivered. 6. Organize and maintain up to date inventory of all materials received on-island, i.e. ocean cargo, air cargo, DHL, USPS, etc. including project site inventory. 7. Organize and maintain staging area, laydown area, and storage area. 8. Coordinates all outgoing material/shipments with home office Logistics department 9. Supervise day to day activities of staff or crew assigned, communicate job expectations and coach employees. 10. Purchase, pick-up and deliver materials/consumables on island from Garrison Supply. Maintain a Logistic Service Contractor (LSC) spreadsheet log per project of all purchases made. 11. Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance, calling for repairs, etc. 12. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. 13. Writes purchase orders in accordance with current SJC PO writing procedures.14. Performs other duties as assigned.
Page 2 of 2SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCEHighly effective supervisory skills & techniques as demonstrated by previous work experience. Excellent safety management knowledge and skills and knowledge of equipment maintenance. Knowledge of warehousing software package and MS Office proficiency. Must have comprehensive data entry management skills. Must be excellent organizational skills, detail and accuracy oriented. Ability to collect, report and analyze data. Proven work experience as logistic/ warehouse supervisor or similar role. Hands-on commitment, dependable and deadline-Oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysically, workers must be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, ladders and scissors lifts; Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials; Lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds; Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see well (either naturally or with correction). Per contract requirements on Kwajalein, worker must be able to pass a DOT Physical. Additionally, worker must be cleared by a physician to perform the above noted essential job functions with or without an accommodation on the remote island of Kwajalein where limited medical facilities are available.COMMENTS:The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
