Critically, we also reduce costs, energyconsumption and emissions.As a Service Team Leader, you will lead a team of Service Engineers andService Technicians and contribute to the execution of the service strategyand service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-qualitycost-effective service offerings, solutions and projects for customers. Youwill also drive service achievements through effective planning and allocationof resources in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safetyguidelines. YourresponsibilitieAs the primary technical support person for the Hydro Services business, youare the key liaison between the site team and the engineering team in the OTR(Order to Remittance) phase of Hydro Projects.Travel to the customer job sites to support job walks for technicalspecification reviews and to obtain data collection to support the engineeredtechnical solution.Own the quality execution of our projects, through the development of workinstructions, and implementing standard plans to execute our scope of workto ensure consistent quality repairs.Assist with proposals, technical solution development, interfacing withfield engineers and providing customer insights and market intelligence onpricing, scope of work and execution actions.Provide excellent technical expertise related to Hydro Generator stators,rotors, excitation systems, monitoring devices and peripheral components.Provide oversight of craft labor, crew members and contractors supportinghigh quality performance levels in service to all methods/procedures relatedto the defined scope of work.Perform casual field engineering service inspections and offer insights onpossible services required to customers including generator stator rewindingand all related tasks.Support the Risk process at the ITO stage with input on project costing,scope, schedule, and execution risks.Identify product failures and lead the identification of possible root causesto support the failure analysis.Develop and support training of Field Engineers and winder resources. Your backgroundBachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in HydroServices.Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team.Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies/tactics.Excellent English written and oral skills.Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, as required.Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport and driver'slicense.Licensed Engineer Certification or eligibility.Accountable, resourceful, committed; willing to make tough decisions andaccept the consequences.Thorough MS Office software literacy including the use of sophisticatedcalculation spreadsheets in MS Excel.Strong customer service abilities.Strong abilities for the use of excel to develop JCEs (job cost estimating).Executive presentations skills.Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks.Technical knowledge of ABB Hydro product and service offerings.Knowledge of power distribution, utilization equipment and applicationconsiderations including the various types of switchgear, relays,breakers, transformers, motors, generators (including control andexcitation) and
