This position focuses on critical risk mitigation programs associated with DCP’s high pressure gas gathering infrastructure. Supports the Corrosion Sr. Manager with strategic initiatives to move the organization forward. Works closely with DCP’s 2.0 Technology Transformation organization, Operations, and Engineering to scope business problems and look for new ways to solve them utilizing technology, big data, and industry leading practices.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Unplanned Release Prevention and Detection

  • Product owner for all initiatives focused on unplanned release prevention and early detection.

  • Develop, maintain, and update technical practices related to leak detection and pipeline hydraulics on high pressure gas gathering pipelines.

  • Identify partners in Operations to pilot new technologies and leverage new methods of communication for unexpected operating condition changes that increase the likelihood of an unplanned release.

  • Develop, maintain, and update technical practices related to leak detection and pipeline hydraulics.

  • Work with project managers and engineers to ensure that future projects contain the necessary equipment and instrumentation to achieve leak detection goals.

  • Work closely with Operations on adoption of initiatives. to address those challenges.

  • Manage the overall program of initiatives with frequent reports back to the Pipeline Services leadership team on progress, roadblocks and

Maintenance Pigging

  • This role will require working closely with DCP Operations and Engineering to understand current state limitations on pigging.

  • Work closely with Engineering, DCP’s Technology Transformation team, using a computer-based pipeline hydraulic simulator to understand liquid flow rates and seasonal liquid hold-up.

  • Evaluate and enhance the efficiency of pipeline operations, and conduct feasibility studies on potential future operations.

  • Develop reports that synthesize pigging results across DCP assets to show compliance with schedules.

  • Manage against KPIs.

  • Work closely with Engineering and DCP’s Technology Transformation team to implement hydraulic models.

  • Consider barriers to optimized pigging schedules.

  • Investigate and seek out new technology and opportunities for advancing the overall maturity and effectiveness of DCP’s maintenance pigging.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree required.

  • Experience with maintenance pigginglaunchers and receivers, risks and hydrate concerns to name a few.

  • Significant project and program management experience

  • Experience reporting up through dashboards, metrics and status reports.

  • Experience with pipeline failure analysis.

  • Knowledge of pipeline failure modes.

  • Knowledge of current leak detection solutions on the market.
