Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a career opportunity for aSenior Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager with our Denver, CO Miningteam. This individual will provide geotechnical engineering services andmanage projects related to mining and civil/geotechnical projects in theU.S. and internationally.LocationThis individual may travel to our Elko, NV, Salt Lake City, UT andReno, NV offices but will work full time in our Denver, CO office.Key ResponsibilitiesWill provide civil/geotechnical engineering and project management and beresponsible for delivering geotechnical and geologic projects to Wood'smining clientsPlan, supervise and lead civil/geotechnical investigations and designactivitiesProject management including scope, budget, schedule and resource managementManaging and coordinating project teams, including ensuring the technicalquality of deliverablesPerform and review geotechnical engineering analysesProposal and report writingWill travel to project sites in the US and internationally - Approximately15% overnight travelSkills / QualificationsBS or MS in Civil or Geotechnical EngineeringCurrently registered or immediately eligible for registration as a PE10 years + experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably with miningprojectsStrong academic background and solid understanding of soil mechanicsExperience in one or more of the following areas:Tailings Storage Facility and Heap Leach Facility designFoundationsEarth dams and leveesDemonstrated Project Management skills including scheduling and budgeting andthe ability to lead, train and mentor junior staffDemonstrated technical excellence in geotechnical engineeringVery good understanding of drilling methods, field investigations, andlaboratory testing proceduresExcellent communication, leadership, mentoring, writing, interpersonaland presentation skillsSuperior time management, planning and ability to interact with clientsSpanish language skills are not required, but are a plusAbility and willingness to travel to project sites in the US andinternationally -Approximately 15% overnight travelMust pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory drivingrecord in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering andtechnical services to energy and industrial markets.
