Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Denver, COWestwood Professional Services, Inc.Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical ProjectEngineer to join our team in our Denver, CO office. Westwood has a highlyexperienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-levelprofessional services to our clients.Duties and Responsibilities:Construction document production supportCoordinate with various design team disciplines including civil engineers,geotechnical engineers, and surveyorsElectrical engineering design of commercial- and utility-scale renewableenergy projects (wind, solar, and battery storage)Modeling and running electrical and grounding studies using ETAP, DIgSILENTPowerFactory, CYMCAP, and WinIGSMaintain awareness and knowledge of Westwood design/CAD standardsMentorship and training of younger engineers and ability to serve as atechnical resource for the team Required ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringLicensed Professional EngineerEducation or experience with power systems analysis and designApproximately 5 - 10 years of experience in the electrical engineering ofelectrical power/distribution systems, particularly renewable energyfacilitiesFunctional expertise with CYMCAP for cable ampacity analysisFunctional expertise with power systems modeling software such as ETAP,DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM Power*Tools, PSSE, PSLF, or similar softwareFunctional expertise with performance of electrical system studies - load flowand reactive power, short circuit, cable ampacity analysis,Strong written and oral communication skills, including study report writingAbility to interface with clients and third parties and maintain workingrelationshipsWorking knowledge of NEC and NESCWorking knowledge and ability to read construction drawings and specificationsProficiency with Microsoft Windows/Office productsMust have a strong work ethic along with a positive attitudeMust be a supportive team member, able to work in a collaborativeenvironment capable of both leading and following.Must be self-motivated with an ability to balance multiple projects undertight deadlines For Preferred Consideration (Not Required):Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or PLS CADSubstation and/or TandD Line Design ExperienceExperience with WinIGS or CDEGS grounding analysis softwareExperience with PVsyst, Helioscope, SAM, Helios 3D, SunDAT or other PVdesign softwareAbout Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
