AECOM is seeking a motivated, team oriented individual to serve as an Electrical Engineer based in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing custom solutions, mentoring a team, and develops calculations, construction drawings, design reports, and specifications to support electrical portions of design work in accordance with building codes.

The Senior Electrical Engineer should be capable of working independently with limited supervision to complete both small and large projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required. Candidate must be well organized, be able to demonstrate critical thinking and can quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to:
Be self-motivated with strong work ethic and take pride in your work
Serve as a Discipline Representative
Complete Electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes
Make major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff
Plan design work, calculates costs, and time schedules to assign design duties to junior staff working on projects
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers
Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files
Act as an adviser and reviews correspondence prepared by junior project team members
Evaluate project staffing requirements, analyzes problems, and writes reports
Attend project meetings, or when appropriate, delegates activities
Meet with clients, prepares proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations
Identify prospective clients, assists in marketing to develop new clients, and develops future projects with existing clients
Assist in project checking for quality control on other projects
Have knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans and drawings
Switch between work on multiple/different projects daily
Represent the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizations
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering plus eight (8) years of related design experience
Professional Engineer license
Strong work experience with an emphasis in electrical systems
Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.
Able to use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments
Experienced in Electrical Power Calculation Software
Experienced in application of National Electrical Code
Working knowledge of NFPA, ISA, IEEE Regulatory Codes
Skilled in the use of Microsoft programs and BIM software (primarily Revit and AutoCAD)
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
