WSP is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for a renewable energy internship for our Denver Location office for the summer of 2019, as availability permits.

This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a DEGREE in Electrical Engineering within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in renewable energy projects under direct supervision of the firm's leading professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Intern will aid mid and senior level engineers with design calculations using software packages including ETAP, PVsyst and others

  • Intern will provide assistant to mid and senior engineers with design and drafting assistance using AutoCAD Electrical or Civil 3D to produce facility layout drawing and single line diagrams for renewable energy facilities

  • Conduct research on and gather technical documentation from vendors including solar module suppliers, solar inverters, wind turbine suppliers and battery manufacturers

Job Requirements

Experience Qualifications:

  • CURRENT standing as a Junior/ Senior (T6 Intern II) student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering (or related) Undergraduate or Graduate Program.

  • Degree track in electrical engineering

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.

  • Experience in AutoCAD Electrical or MEP

  • Minor or focus area in Energy or Renewable/Sustainable Energy
