Contract Engineering Services Quality Specialist in Denver, Colorado

We are seeking a Quality Specialist for our client in Longmont. The QualitySpecialist will complete tasks related to inspection of incoming goods,including returns, in-process and final inspections. Interfaces withengineers, receiving & stocking personnel, buyer, and manufacturingpersonnel as needed to report up on issues associated with qualityinspections.Quality Specialist Accountabilities Screens incoming purchased material as specified by engineering andquality documentation (Item Master description, drawings, etc). Screens incoming returned material from customers in support of theRMA/RMT process. Performs routine inspections on finished product (includingphotographic evidence of conformance). Maintains internal and external quality metrics for reporting purposes. Responsible for administering the non-conforming material process. Contributes to Equipment Operations quality system effectiveness, andISO 9000 compliance, by conforming to documented requirements. Administers all measurement and gauge control calibration. Supports the Weld Certification process by performing inspection andrecords management. Interacts with Manufacturing Engineering to recommend additional QualityControl Documentation as required for new and existing products.Quality Specialist Skills Displays proficiency in MS Office tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook). Ability to read technical drawings and understand Bills of Material. Able to collaborate with others in investigation of issues. Six Sigma Root Cause analysis methodologies. Ability to investigate and diagnose product quality problems.Certified Weld Inspector Prior experience with a weld certification program/process. Ability to organize and capturing technical information. Knowledge of quality tools, quality system elements. Knowledge of gas equipment and purification products and services.
