What you’ll get to do:

As a Product Design Intern, you will work closely with the Product Design team to discover new solutions to real-world problems in the safety and mobility space! Activities will include working on new visual interface components, interaction workflows, and general user-centered problem solving. Cirrus by Panasonic is building a next generation connected vehicle platform, and your work will contribute to the success of it!

  • Create exploratory product solutions in collaboration with ARI team

  • Take on small tasks alongside product design team to help identify product solutions and discuss design rationale

  • Work on new updates and concepts to continually enhance the Cirrus Design System

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • Knowledge and/or experience in creating digital solutions for web or desktop/mobile app problems using tools such as Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma, Axure (or any other related application)

  • Knowledge or familiarity with the user-centered design process and how it applies to User Experience/Product Design


  • Experience creating creative, but intuitive, UI motion compositions

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts, methodologies, and tools quickly


  • Motivated and hard worker with a desire to support solutions to complex business problems

  • A true team player – flexible about your role and ready to do what it takes to get things done

  • Insatiable curiosity and lifelong learner

  • Building strong critical thinking and design skills, good eye for visual style and element hierarchy, and communicating rationale and best-practices for design decisions

  • Building problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and identify existing or potential problems

  • Building good written, presentation, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • NOTE: Internship pay rates are $15/hr to $25/hr, based on the class level (Freshman – Senior) of the candidate and whether the candidate is in an undergrad or graduate school program

  • NOTE: Interns must be currently enrolled in classes through the duration of the Summer 2021 program in order to be eligible to participate
