Understands theory and elements of plating and cleaning processes. High school graduate or G.E.D. Must be able to read, write and be proficient in basic arithmetic skills. In-depth knowledge of Company products and quality standards preferred. Must possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated the ability towork well with others in and outside of the department. . Must be able to read and write in order to maintain records. Must be able to recognize potential dangers involving incorrect handlingand/or storage of hazardous materials. Experience in chemical process control concepts and methods,progressively obtaining greater skills and knowledge. This includes theconcepts in predicting chemical kinetics, understanding basic oxidation andreduction reactions and chemical consumption or depletion, use of equipmentto establish and maintain effective process control in electroplating andassociated processes Proficiency in EXCEL and WORD based programs, basic to intermediateskills, is desirable in order to maintain employee records for productionand attendance. Basic skills in Oracle are desirable for maintenance of production records. Individual must successfully complete an initial program of classroominstruction regarding the nature of handling, storage and treatment ofhazardous material including all pertinent regulationsEssential Duties Comply with company OSHA and EPA standards for the storage and labelingof hazardous materials. Responsible to work a plating/cleaning process daily, andsubstitutes for an employee in a work station when necessary. Provides leadership, instruction, gives direction, and assignswork to employees in the department that assures compliance with quality andcompletion dates, and if necessary performs the work. Prepares equipment and/or checks set-ups of other employees and ensurethat equipment is in good working condition to obtain optimum production andquality standards. Responsible for the daily movement and storage of chemicals for theplating /cleaning department Assists production workers in cleaning/plating departments whennecessary to achieve production and quality goals. Works with Supervisor in training department personnel in correctmethods of handling and uses of chemicals classified as Hazardous Material. Uses micrometers, calipers, thermometers, and other measuringtools to ensure proper plating/cleaning process standards are met. Performs clerical and computer tasks as required. Controls tracking, labeling and temporary storage of all hazardous andnon-hazardous wastes in the company. Works with Supervisor to provide employee performance data andinformation concerning periodic merit reviews.
