Do you want to be part of our growth story?Plastics Machine Operator - Aurora, ColoradopurposeOperates a variety of different types of equipment and uses numerous handtools to produce plastics parts for production while meeting schedulingtimelines.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and understands Engineering drawing, process sheets, workinstructions, verbal instructions regarding work assignments.Familiar with basic use of inspection tools such as Calipers.Obtains a first piece and last piece inspection on every production run.Able to identify materials used in producing plastic parts.Produces parts according to set specifications.Performs various Preventive Maintenance tasks on equipment.Maintains a safe and clean working area.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESOther duties assignedQUALIFICATIONSEducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).Experience6 to 12 months forklift experience and blueprint knowledge.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBe proficient with operating equipment including scissor-lift platforms,control panels, weight scales, and stand-up forklift.Has used hand routers, hand drills, band saw, hand grinder, airratchets, impact wrench, and other hand tools to produce parts.Possesses basic computer skills.Retains information well.Able to work in fast paced environment.Possesses good hand-eye coordination.Able to apply basic mathematical concepts to work being done.Language SkillsAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in Englishand recognized similarities and difference between words and between series ofnumber. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units ofAmerican money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly requiredto stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequentwalking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability toadjust focuWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works nearmoving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
