We areseeking a Packaging Engineer in Denver, Colorado to support our PowerTransmission (Belts) business. Could this be you?The Global Packaging Engineering Department is upgrading multiple platformsand business processes across all sites worldwide. A critical component inthis process is the development of common, brand specific Power Transmission"PT" packaging. The Packaging Engineer will be the key contributor torealizing globalized standards in branded packaging in the Automotive,Industrial, Aftermarket and Re-sale areas of the PT business. In addition,the individual will be working with cross-functional teams in Denver andacross all regions. This is a great opportunity for an individual who isfamiliar with packaging, packaging supplier interactions and multi-culturalrelKey responsibilities (to name a few):This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will learn all about ourPT business from our industry leaders and work alongside a dynamic Global Teamto launch new products and processes. Learn more about Gates' Unchain YourOperations initiative on ourYou will work with cross-functional team members for all PT product lines toset up new part BOMS and packaging specifications; including belt sleevecreation, and labeling specifications on time to support launch of all newitems.You will collaborate with packaging suppliers to ensure efficientimplementation of packaging designs.You will implement process improvements at manufacturing facilities where packoperations take place.You will be responsible for the release of new packaging through BeltAssignments and processes, including customer specific requirements.You will support sourcing savings events by providing accurate and completedpackaging specification packets to procurement for use during bids.Creation of Packaging Item drawings using AutoCAD software.You can expect to travel to Gates' locations and vendors (Up to 20%)ABOUT YOU2+ years experience in the Packaging IndustryWill also consider students with relevant internship experience in lieu offulltime work experienceBachelor Degree in Packaging EngineeringExcellent technical aptitudeHeightened attention to detailGood communication skillsHighly organizedAbility to work autonomously or with minimum supervisionDrafting Experience: 2D or 3D software skills, with spatial acuity as a plusMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without companysponsorship.PAY and BENEFITSFull-TimeRelocation: Will be provide for those that meet the requirementsMedical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefitoptions:benefits beginonthe first day of the month immediately followingyour date of hireEligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled and 2floating) + 8 sick days.
