Kforce Operations Technician I in Denver, Colorado

Kforce has a client in search of an Operations Technician I in Denver, Colorado (CO). Summary: The Operations Technician I position is responsible for taking customer status calls, monitoring the proactive tickets for customer circuits, providing technical support to client's customers, and giving customers the status of their repairs. Technicians use the ticket system to update ticket logs, notify customers of updates and keep customer contact information current. There will be testing of DS1 circuits and logging of test results in the ticket system.

  • Associate degree or 2 years of related work experience

  • 1 year of technical customer call center experience

  • Cisco and Juniper certifications are a plus

  • Experience with Cisco command line interface; Other router CLI experiences a plus

  • Detailed understanding of the OSI networking model physical, data link, and network layers

  • An understanding of routing protocols and principals

  • Knowledge of firewall rules and NAT policies

  • Understanding of DNS & email troubleshooting

  • A proven track record troubleshooting technical issues

  • Ability to manage and correlate multiple trouble reports; Communicate with customers and others in a repair situation
