Grundfos Innovation Holding is seeking an experienced OEM Sales Engineer to join its Industry Team. The OEM Sales Engineer will be responsible to increase Grundfos' market share in the Industrial OEM business for the Industrial water solution markets in North America. This position will be required to support market share growth across the USA and Canada, collaborating with other Grundfos Business units worldwide. The OEM Sales Engineer is responsible for building strong relationships with Grundfos direct Accounts, Distributors, Contractors & Engineers within their region of responsibility. The OEM Sales Engineer will collaborate with the industry sales team on a daily basis. This position reports directly to the Area Sales Director for Industry OEM and will operate daily out of their home office. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

*What is the job about? *

  • The Account Manager is to be the brand, live the brand, and present the brand by building relationships throughout the entire sales channel.

  • Responsible for calling on existing and potential new accounts (Manufacturers, Key Accounts. etc.), focusing on building the brand.

  • The OEM Account Manager is expected to understand the market position of Grundfos products in its target markets. Contribute to ensuring that the most advantageous price structure is put forward to maximize customer value, profitability, and Share of Wallet.

  • Provide sales support to all customers to facilitate and add value to the selling process.

  • Continually develop knowledge of geography, markets, applications, and accounts, including market-specific drivers, key decision-makers, competitors, and economic conditions. Develop, maintain, and execute a sales plan to grow the business and increase market share.

  • Assess current business partners, develop and evaluate their performance, and manage conflict, ensuring alignment with North Americas Growth plans.

  • Provide/facilitate training on products, applications, and sales process to all levels of the sales channel.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute monthly sales and expense forecasts.

  • The OEM Account Manager develops strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and target accounts, in coordination and cooperation with colleagues when markets overlap across sales channels.

  • The OEM Account Manager proactively strives to maximize Grundfos' presence in their focused engineering accounts by ensuring that all possible Grundfos products are applied.

  • The OEM Account Manager participates in global, market-specific, network meetings and interfaces with key product and other management personnel from sister companies and the Denmark Head Office.

  • Perform sales administration tasks such as maintaining a customer database, documenting sales contacts, and pricing matrix.

  • Learn and use Grundfos' account management tools and processes.

  • Prepare reports as required.

  • Provide leadership pertaining to quality and quantity of work performed.

  • Perform all work in compliance with company policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and direction, and identify and notify management of non-compliance situations for resolution.

  • Comply with all health and safety initiatives to ensure the Company remains a safe workplace.

*What do you need to apply? *

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technologist capacity specializing in mechanical, electrical or similar engineering discipline or a combination of experience and training. Additionally, have a minimum of 5years’ experience in Industrial sales for Water Treatment, Steam/Boiler, Food & Beverage, Pharma and/or equivalent.

  • This position requires enthusiasm, curiosity, open to learn new ideas and concepts, a sense of urgency, initiative, and results-orientation.

  • In-depth knowledge of the industrial OEM markets and a general understanding of the other Industrial markets.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of require prospects and onboarding new Industrial clients.

  • Understanding of profit and loss accounting and the basic flow of revenue in an organization.

  • Ability to start with "the end in mind", then work backwards to develop strategies, action plans, and goal measurements.

  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated business maturity and acumen, a strong work ethic, a positive and professional approach even under trying circumstances.

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective product presentations to both internal and external customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language to various levels of customers, engineering, and management audiences any other language for example Spanish , French is an assist

  • Some technical competency and accuracy, and proven problem solving skills.

  • Analytical and systematic approach to business processes.

  • Excellent PC skills with above average knowledge and use of Microsoft Office application programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as an aptitude for learning and applying new systems and programs.

  • Able to travel 25% - 50%, including overnights and some weekends
