DescriptionSentient Energy is looking to fill the Technical Solution Engineer which is afulland#8208;time position in the Revenue Team organization. The TechnicalSolution Engineer (TSE) supports the Revenue Team responsible forachieving sales, revenue and gross margin targets that align with those ofthe Sentient Energy's business vision and objectives. The selectedcandidate will work closely to assist Account Directors, Value AddedResellers and Partners along with utility customers to grow and promote thegrowth of Sentient Energy. The Technical Solution Engineer is responsible forValue-Added Solution selling. The TSE will focus on expanding the company'sbusiness with current and emerging technologies within the Grid Modernizationobjectives for Utilities. This role is open to locations across the UnitedStates.What You Will Do In Your RoleAssist Account Directors, Value Added Resellers and Partners with pre-salesactivities, as the technical SMECoordinate with Account Directors, Value Added Resellers and Partners tosupport customer needs for proposals / presentations and participate in bidmeetings and walk-through meetings with the customer as necessaryCoordinate with Account Directors, Value Added Resellers and Partners tosupport customer relationship building and establish a trusted advisor modelfor customer successLead and Support top level solution architectures conversations and guidecustomers on desirable solutions to meet the customer business needsStrategically position Sentient Energy's value proposition with ROI modelsthat support Customer Use Cases for Grid Modernization objectivesIdentify the technical needs of our targeted customers, support discoverycalls and propose solutions as appropriateStrong interface with the marketing / commercialization / productorganization to develop high-value solutions and assist with creating specificNPI requirements which leverages / expands Sentient Energy's solutionportfolioWork with Product Management to provide inputs on technical requirements basedon customer conversationsWork with Account Directors, Value Added Resellers and Partners to helpcoordinate pre-sales considerations and architecture solutions which supportCustomer business objectives.Establish a trusted advisor relationship withPartners and Customer(s)to drive product solution adoption and continuedvalue of products and servicesThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:At least five years of technical experience within the Electric UtilitiesindustryTechnical understanding of overall electric operations systems, includingelectric power systems, distribution automation, and distributed controlsystems and communicationsBachelor of Science or work experience equivalent in technical field,computer science, program management or a closely related technical field orat least seven years of technical experience within the Electric UtilitiesindustryDemonstrable experience success metrics and use case management for utilityvalue propositionExperience supporting sales activities and account management includingcustomer communications internally and externallyUnderstanding of all engineering discipline requirements for power systems ingeneral.Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to corporate andcustomer officesWhat Will Put You AheadExperience working in the Utility Industry or with Utility Metering ispreferredLocated in the West Coast is preferredSalary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.
