Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is accepting resumes forupcoming Liner Testing Technician, Mining/Heavy Civil needs for our DenverMining team. Will support liner and other construction materials testing ofmining/commercial/industrial projects at various US locations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct liner inspections and perform field and laboratory QA/QC tests onlinerOversee contractor testing of linerMay be required to operate standard construction materials testing equipmentand perform routine testing procedures (primarily concrete, soils,asphalt, and geosynthetic liner systems)Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy of test dataPrepare daily reports of observation and test resultsWill monitor work procedures for compliance with project specificationsTest and work in accordance with Company safety policiesWill interact with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, projectmanagers, engineers, etc.) at project sitesWill travel to project sites in the US - Approximately 80% overnight travelSkills / QualificationsQualification RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredA recent graduate with a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Managementwould also be a good fit for this opportunitySoil and concrete testing experience a plusCurrent valid driver's licenseMicrosoft Office Suite experience and AutoCAD is a surplusMust pass drug test and must have a clean driving record in accordance withthe Company's MVR driving policyAbility and willingness to travel to project sites in the US - Approximately80% overnight travelReliability - must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior toscheduled timesFlexibility - must be able to work outside normal business hours as requiredQualification Preferences3-10 years Construction Materials Testing experience preferably on miningprojectsCurrent MSHA Certification (desired)Ability to read & interpret engineers plans & specificationsPhysical DemandsAbility to lift 50 pounds - Will routinely lift and carry materials andequipmentAbility to complete "Fit for Duty" examination as prescribed by company policyAble to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or coldCompany OverviewWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering andtechnical services to energy and industrial markets.
