Kastle Systems Lead Technician - Electronic Security in Denver, Colorado

The Lead Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting with the installation, testing and troubleshooting of access control and video security systems at customer sites. You will interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle internal teams to ensure a successful installation. You will manage projects and assist with project planning, scheduling and coordinating installation and change orders to ensure they are implemented accurately and on time.

  • Installs, tests, and services CCTV, access control, and security systems.

  • Ensures that systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.

  • Provides technical assistance and support to Kastle’s Partners, as needed.

  • Provides feedback and information to identify any potential barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction delays or changes.

  • Provides regular progress updates to all stakeholders.

  • Provides accurate documentation for completed work.

  • Responsible for providing proper documentation for inventory control and for maintaining proper inventory for vehicles and projects.

  • Maintains assigned company-owned vehicles, tools, equipment, and individual tool issue.

  • Maintains and protects building keys to customer buildings.

  • Communicates with customers, customer representatives, contractors, and Kastle staff as necessary to install and service equipment.

  • Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology, as well as internal processes and procedures

  • 5 or more years’ of successful experience installing and servicing access control, video systems or other related electronic systems

  • Technical school certificate a plus but not required

  • Mechanical aptitude and thorough knowledge of hand and power tools.

  • Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital volt meters.

  • Knowledge of Serial Communication (RS232, RS485)

  • Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, networking protocol, and Cat5 technologies.

  • Knowledge of door hardware, electric/mechanical locking devices, and building codes pertaining to construction, fire, and electrical systems.

  • Must be willing to participate in and pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check.

  • Must hold valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

  • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds

  • Climb Stairs and ladders while carrying weight

  • Use color vision to distinguish colored wires, signals, other lighting devices,

  • Use and manipulate hand tools, small power tools, communication and diagnostic devices

  • Open floor plans with ambient noise and activity consistent with office or call center work

  • Active constructive sites often without HVAC

  • Confined spaces (closets, basements, etc.)

  • The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, tools and vehicles
