Denver Health Lead Biomedical Technician in Denver, Colorado

Job Summary Biomedical Technician Lead maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Program and Denver Health business standards. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of complex biomedical equipment. The technician may participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, accessories and supplies. Coordinates special projects and performs technical tasks. The Lead technician provides technical guidance to other Biomed Tech employees. Guides the team on a day to day basis to ensure team target completion. Adheres to instructions and corporate policies and demonstrates professionalism with integrity in all interactions with customers and staff.

Minimum Qualifications Education: 1. Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology required. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.

Experience: 1. Six years Biomedical Technology Military training or other experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment required. 2. In lieu of an Associate’s degree, must have 10 years relevant experience.

Maturity, self-development and integrity. 5. Ability to deal with high stress/pressure situations and manage complex customer situations. 6. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Computers and Technology 1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 2. Basic IT and networking knowledge. 3. Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and basic programming.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, coaching, supervision, fostering teamwork, training and development of one or more employees.

Certificates, Licenses and Registration: 1. Active CBET preferred.
