Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Lead Application Engineer (Completion tools) – to be based in Denver, CO.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides skilled level support for the product line(s), technical selling, key field product application, well prognosis, and/or completion product performance.

  • Assists with prototype tool applications and new product market introductions.

  • Investigates unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action.

  • May be lead engineering/technical position in region or area. (Field Service Personnel not included).

  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

  • This role will include open hole and cased hole applications.

Conducts all business activities in accordance with BHGE HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and BHGE Core Values


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.

  • 7+ years of Oilfield Services experience in all completions applications and equipment..

  • Ability to drive product line strategy.

  • Proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Comprehensive, specialized technical knowledge of company's products and services for area of responsibility and general knowledge of products and services of other business segments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong negotiating skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of sales process, ability to build strong relationships and close business.
