Junior Level Freight RailEngineer-in-Training Job Code: 2682 Employment Type: REG LocationSearch: Colorado, Denver DescriptionDEA is currently seeking a Junior Level Freight Rail Engineer-in-Training forour Rail Group in our Denver, CO office. The role of the Junior Freight RailEngineer-in-Training is to provide engineering, design, and observationactivities related to freight rail projects. These activities will occur bothin the office and on project sites. Because we serve freight railroad clientson projects across the United States, some travel may be required.Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Design of track and railroad facilities.Design of grading, drainage, utilities, access roads and at-gradecrossings, including related permitting.Preparation of design details, schematics, and engineering specifications.Coordination with other project disciplines including structural,architectural, geotechnical, surveying, and other aspects of a project.Preparation of quantity and cost estimates.Field observation on project sites before, during, and after construction.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology0-4 years of freight rail design experienceLicensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT)Ability to travel on a limited basis.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with freight railroad design standardsExperience using Microstation CAD software and INROADS or GEOPAK designsoftware.
