Job Summary

Tradavo Interior Designers are detail-driven, design-oriented, and well-spoken individuals who utilize their interpersonal skills to successfully find interior design and visual merchandising solutions for their clients. It is the Interior Designer?s job to not only expertly design a retail space within a client's budget and specifications, but to also be their point of contact throughout the process ensuring they understand our timelines and expectations on their end.

Tradavo is seeking an Interior Designer with interior design project experience in the retail environment and a proven record of commitment to quality and excellence to work on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will work with the project management team in design and execute presentation materials as well as construction documentation.

Many projects will be custom design for specific hotels. Others will be prototypes for hotel brands, followed by customization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan and design retail spaces in a hospitality environment

  • Floor plans

  • Interior Elevations

  • Millwork/Section Details

  • Finish Plans

  • Review photos, blueprints, and specs to conceive designs and verify dimensions and create proposals

  • Interact and communicate with customers & vendors in a timely and informative manner regarding market conditions, delivery schedules, and product information on a daily basis

  • Drive process improvement within the team and company-wide to elevate efficiency and customer service

  • Travel nationally to hotel lobbies to assess and develop conceptual designs

  • Build strong relationships with hotel brand executives, managers, owners and operators

  • Provide encouragement to team members including communicating team goals, company-wide, and identifying new areas for training, development, and growth

  • Work closely with various teams companywide to identify design/project management issues and implement programs.

  • Maintain relations with customers by organizing and taking the initiative to suggest developing specific customer-relations programs

  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisor

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven Interior Design Experience experience with coordination of architectural & interior construction drawings and documentation

  • conceptual design

  • maintaining standards and prototypes

  • Facility Planning Project Management

  • Graphic design

  • Simultaneously manage multiple tasks

  • Demonstrate strong written, oral and telephone communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to take initiative in all aspects of job duties

  • Be a self-motivated & independently driven team member

  • Inherent intellectual curiosity to learn and grow within the company

  • A hands-on mentality willing to undertake new projects on a regular basis

  • Strong Communication & interpersonal skills

  • AutoCAD or Revit Architecture proficient with 3D rendering skills required

  • Hospitality design experience required

  • LEED certification a plus

  • B.S. in Interior Design or Architecture
