Located inour downtown Denver office, you will beresponsible for the company"sHealth and Safety program, which includes leadership to maintain Health andSafety compliance and continuous improvement.You"ll be supporting the entire global Gates enterprise.This is an exciting opportunity for you because you willprovide leadership toestablish high standards of compliance and collaboration for a robust safetyculture.You"ll be managing a team of Health and Safety Managers and Specialists.Your objective will be todevelop and implement strategies, standards,procedures, initiatives, and metrics to achieve excellent Health andSafety outcomes and performance across all global locations.This position is vital to Gates because you willbe working with leaders, HSEteam members, Engineering, and colleagues across the organization, theDirector of EHSS will align and implement appropriate governance, bestpractices, fill gaps, and drive maturity of the Health and Safety program.Key responsibilities (to name a few):Develop and manage the budget and resources of a matrix organizationWork as the primary global contact for response, incident reporting andinvestigations and risk managementHealth and Safety metrics, reporting, compliance reviews and ensuringcompliance of applicable regulationsOversees all applicable Health and Safety programs for the enterprise suchas: LOTO, confined space entry, industrial hygiene, hazardcommunication, PPE, equipment safety controls, etc.Coordinates with operations and engineering to identify and mitigate riskswith effective engineering controls, procedures, and trainingProvides direct leadership and direction to the regional Health and SafetyleadsDevelops subject matter experts in several areasLeads initiatives to improve processes and behaviors that are identifiedthrough analysis of leading and lagging indicatorsDirects, reviews, and approves Health and Safety standards, policies,and program documentsABOUT YOU8+ years of progressive experience working within Health and SafetyBachelor"s degree is required, preferably in Health and Safety, HSEManagement, Safety Engineering, or a Risk related field. Equivalentadditional experience may be consideredExperience with the Microsoft Office Suite is requiredSharePoint experience is a plusMust be an effective leader, mentor, and coach who thinks strategicallyand is effective tacticallyTravel will be domestic and international.
