POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Engineer will assist in the commissioning of all aspects of the technical delivery of a project. Field Engineers work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Programmers, and Technicians. Field Engineers will be the technical leader’s onsite, providing assistance and mentorship to technicians. The Field Engineer will work closely with the delivery team to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external clients as well as holding company employees and subsidiary company leadership teams through a high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure AV equipment such as control systems (Crestron/ AMX/ Extron), Audio DSPs, matrix switchers, codec's.

  • Commission AV systems by testing systems post install and verifying quality standards are being achieved.

  • Review schematic designs using BlueBeam.

  • Review material lists and checklists for proper installation.

  • Configure systems with consultant driven designs.

  • Interface with consultants, vendors, general contractors, electrical contractors and other partners.

  • Constantly interact with LINX Multimedia Project Engineers, Project Managers, Programmers, and Technicians.

  • Demonstrate creative solutions to help differentiate Linx Multimedia.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attitude and Aptitude to learn and solve problems.

  • At least two years of experience in the professional audio/video integration required.

  • Experience with configuring Crestron and/or AMX systems preferred. Certifications preferred.

  • CTS (CTS-D) certification is highly preferred.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills preferred.
