This Mechanical Engineer will be a critical member of our AdvancedSurgical division s R.and.D team, based in Denver, CO. The engineer willhave immediate opportunities to contribute to new product innovation andimprovement, as well as continuing a relentless focus on our current productofferings. As a CONMED Mechanical Engineer II, you will have accountability andownership over multiple projects and initiatives. Responsibilities willinclude Leads engineering projects for conceptual design, detailed design,CAD modeling, prototyping, and troubleshooting for sustaining engineeringproje Design analyses including theoretical calculations for component fitand tolerance analysis, tolerance stack-up, and stress calculations Development of written protocols, reports and presentations relatedto design activities. Performing and/or supervising the verification and validation testingof new and existing products and test reporting. Additional responsibilities may include cost reduction redesign ofproducts and solving design and manufacturing problems on existing productlines. Regularly interfaces with key stakeholders, such as quality,regulatory, marketing, manufacturing, and purchasing, to drive closureto engineering projects Delivery of work products to an agreed upon schedule Design high quality, reliable medical products such as reusableinstruments, low cost electrosurgical disposables and electrosurgicalgenerator Work in all phases of design, development, component procurement,assembly, test, validation, and manufacturing support Qualifications This role requires a talented and driven team player who is eager tocontribute to multiple exciting projects and initiatives.
