Assists with the development of designapproaches and concepts. Assists the project team in the production ofprojects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Assumes responsible charge for projects within the engineer's experience andexpertise; serves as the Engineer on Record (EOR) on assigned projectsCoordinates project designs with other disciplines to determine equipmentneeds, provide input for operating procedures, and provide technicalinformationPerforms specific engineering studies and other design analyses using industrysoftwareAttends meetings with owners, clients, or architects as neededAssists in the development of design approaches and conceptsEvaluates the work of design colleagues and provides feedback and/orcorrectionsConducts project job site visits during construction to monitor progress andobserve installed construction; makes comments based on designspecifications, owner expectations, and building codesCoordinates with local authorities, utilities, and municipalities toincorporate associated construction and government standardsIdentifies collisions and ensures collisions are addressed and resolved bydesign staffDevelops the overall man-hour budget and is responsible for the man-hourbudget within the discipline; develops workplans for discipline team inaccordance with the budgetProvides input, feedback, and updates on project schedules and plans workin accordance with the scheduleReviews shop drawings and submittalsAssists with the preparation and implementation of a proactive QualityAssurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projectsAssists senior technical staff in the development of technicaldocumentation, proposals, and presentations to clientsCoordinates with suppliers, contractors, and clients to determine projectscopeReviews work for technical accuracy and completeness prior to the finalQA/QC reviewMaintains a continued focus on keeping up with industry trends and changesthrough continued self-education and trainingActively participates in the local chapter of a professional organizationwhere...
