DescriptionDesigns electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, andsystems for commercial and institutional buildings by performing the followingduties. Works closely with Project Managers, Engineers, ProjectEngineers, and Senior Engineers.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesReceives and carries out specific and detailed instructions for required tasksand results expected and asks questions as needed.Performs a variety of routine tasks including but not limited to requireddesign calculations.Displays proficiency in use of word processing and spreadsheet software, andcomputer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineeringtasks.Acts and communicates in a positive and friendly manner in order to get alongwith clients, customers, co-workers and management.Other Job ResponsibilitiesMaintains general appearance of work areas.Responsible for fostering and maintaining good client relationships.Maintains a superior level of service to our clients.Presents clients and coworkers with a "positive experience" throughout allinteractions.Prepares for and attends required meetings.Participates in seminars and training events as required to stay current withindustry trends.Follows all required safety procedures in the field and in the office.We are a dynamic organization in a rapidly changing industry. The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Job QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineeringfrom four-year college or university.Knowledge, Skill, Ability, Licenses Ability to positively contribute to the dynamic Swanson Rink teamenvironment and its industry leading position. Able to apply theoretical knowledge to achieve cost-effective,constructible design solutions Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; to express ideas; toshare information; and to prepare clear, well-organized correspondence,reports and similar documents Knowledge of fundamental business principles and practices, e.g.,chargeable versus billable time, invoicing procedures, chargeableexpenses, cost versus billing rate and profit margins Must be authorized to work in the United States
