If you enjoy troubleshooting, problem solving andhave a continuous improvement mindset, we encourage you to apply to theElectrical Engineer I position on our Advanced Surgical Sustaining Engineering This Electrical Engineer will be a critical member of our AdvancedSurgical division, based in Denver, CO. The engineer will work with crossfunctional teams to improve and support advanced surgical devices andinstruments, which are used in laparoscopic, robotic, and open surgicalapplications. The engineer will have immediate opportunities to contribute ina fast paced, hands on and game changing environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: * Maintain and support system and board level requirements,architecture, conceptual designs, design verification protocols, testplans, test reports and manufacturing documentation for surgical equipmentsuch as electrosurgical generators and insufflation systems * Analyze and optimize medical instrument firmware/software andtroubleshoot failure modes * Develop tests and processes to identify the root cause of electronicsystem problems and provide corrective/preventative actions (i.e. followCAPA process) * Participate in compliance and safety testing of various electricalsystems * Drive sustaining engineering activities and continuous improvement ofexisting products, as well as some support for new product development * Assist with designing and updating electronic circuit schematics, PCBlayouts, and BOM's THIS ROLE REQUIRES A TALENTED AND DRIVEN TEAM PLAYER WHO IS EAGER TOCONTRIBUTE TO MULTIPLE PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES. CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSEDBASED ON THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * A combination of education and professional work experience will beconsidered.
