SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator’s primary goal is to provide full time safety, health and environmental support to the Denver BAND-IT employees, facility, and property; through practices that are in compliance with regulatory requirements, IDEX requirements and IDEX values. Lead continuous improvement in EHS and create a culture to drive an injury free environment. The EHS Coordinator will establish and maintain a safety budget in alignment with the organizations needs for training, assessments and compliance.
REPORTING TO : Support Services Value Stream Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop the strategic EHS Plan for BAND-IT. This plan will comply with local, state and federal and internal IDEX EHS requirements as well as manufacturing best practices.
Exhibit and promote the IDEX core values – Team, Trust, Excellence.
Maintain BAND-IT’s ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) certification. Be lead audit support, create and maintain internal auditing, facilitate and close any actions.
Maintains company stormwater and air permits including all required sampling and submissions.
Create a culture of proactive safety awareness supported and owned at every level of the organization.
Through an understanding of the company’s operations, recommend specific improvement actions, changes in policy, procedures, equipment, training, tools, location, methods, etc. to reduce identified risks.
Develop, maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required within BAND-IT.
Coordinates JHA completion within the operations team. Establishes training and deployment of sustainable JHA program.
Coordinates the completion of a Lock-Out-Tag-Out program within the operations team. Identifies key partner for external resources and helps manage the sustainment of the process.
Act as a safety guide and trainer for outside contractors and/or visitors.
Hands on completion of activities identified through continuous improvement and investigation findings.
Coordinates and maintains long term safety roadmap through utilization of their background and skills. Aligning top priorities to largest risks. Completion and implementation of factory wide risk assessment delivering on timelines and commitments.
Manages Safety Budget to ensure completion of priorities on high risk areas. Ensures compliance to state and federal regulations are met.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:
BS Degree in occupational safety and health, safety, industrial hygiene, natural science, public administration, or related field
Experience working with behavior-based safety models or similar proactive safety programs
Experience with 5S and continuous improvement processes preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in EHS or related field
Certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, ALCM, OSHA 501-GIS or similar preferred
Understanding of all components of an EHS Program, including incident investigation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, material handling safety, machine guarding, air permitting, hazmat, and wastewater.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS Degree or
3+ years of hands on experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment.
Pay rate: 85,000 - 100,000
Bonus: This position may be eligible for company discretionary bonus
