Ulteig is seeking a talented and motivated candidate for our open DistributionDesign Technician position in the Denver, CO office to support PowerDistribution. Candidates will accurately evaluate options and design safe,cost effective, and reliable electrical distribution facilities forresidential, commercial, and other utility related projects.Responsibilities include field design using client standards to layoutoverhead and underground distribution facilities, and office design work tosupport the field design. This individual will support both Ulteig and clientbusiness goals and represent both companies professionally andpositively.Essential Position Responsibilities include:Learn client company standards, policies and procedures for the developmentof site designs for electrical distribution facilities that serve a variety ofcustomers.Learn and be trained to prepare site drawings and construction sketches forvarious installations of electrical distribution facilities in acost-effective manner that maximizes safety and service reliability.Learn and be trained to prepare job packages including material estimates andmaterial requisitions of the materials required for the prepared distributionelectrical designs.Learn and be trained to properly apply distribution reliability principals foreach design ensuring a safe and cost effective design and installation.Learn and be trained to evaluate loading of various distribution equipmentbeing installed to ensure a cost-effective, safe, and reliable design.Maintain accurate records and files and update the appropriate client systems.Develop relationships with internal and external customers, builders &developers, home owners, electricians, other utilities, and cityofficials as needed in the execution of client job responsibilities.The idealcandidate will have:Two year degree in engineering technology or a related technical workingtechnical experience.Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish andmaintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clientsand external agencies along with the ability to deal with a variety ofindividuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills.Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work inhigh-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude.Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle suitable for business use(mileage reimbursement applies).Understanding of GIS mapping design.CAD Program (Microstation or AutoCAD) experience is a plus.DesiredQualifications:Previous experience in an electric utility field.Understanding of basic electricity and related components.Must have authorization to work permanently in the US.Why work for Ulteig?AtUlteig, clients depend on us to deliver comprehensive engineering andtechnical services that strengthen infrastructure vital to everyday life.Weoffer our employees:Competitive payA comprehensive benefits packageCasual work environmentFlexible work scheduleAnd most importantly, we are 100% employee ownedWorking at Ulteig is morethan a job, it means you will be making a difference.
