Description of Job
The Work Unit:
This position resides in the Central Services work unit within the Laboratory Services Division. The work unit provides accounting, financial, and customer support services to internal and external customers of the Laboratory Services Division in the fulfillment of its public health, analytical, and regulatory mission.
What You'll Be Doing:
This position requires strong organization skills, customer service, phone and email skills. Position reviews incoming testing and public health requests via Google Form into a Google spreadsheet, assigned by County. Contacts testing site via email or phone, ideally has customer service experience. Reviews each site request based on guidance document protocol, utilizes some judgment in allocating resources but can depend on team lead for support. Copy/paste pertinent information and communicate logistics considerations.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in public health or closely related field;
One year of professional experience conducting public health outreach, coordinating testing, or work closely related to the job duties.
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Experience in a laboratory or medical environment
Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Forms, and GMail
Strong interpersonal skills
Outstanding skills and abilities in verbal communication
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise tact, discretion, and sound judgment
Strong sense of professionalism, including a strong work ethic and reliability
Conditions of Employment:
- A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
