WSP is currently initiating a search for a Consultant, Electrical Engineer for our Denver, CO office.

Consultant, Electrical Engineer - Denver, CO


Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. WSP offers excellent growth opportunities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.

  • Service utility coordination

  • Power distribution

  • Lighting

  • Fire alarm

  • Low voltage infrastructure

  • Emergency power systems

  • UPS design

  • Construction Administration

  • Project Management

  • Attend Client meetings

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Lead a team of engineers under your direction on a project. This will include mentorship, quality control reviews, and assessment of their skills and training needs.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering

  • 6+ yrs experience designing electrical systems for the built environment

  • Previous building design internship experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Knowledge of building and energy codes.

  • Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies


  • P.E. License and/ or LEED AP preferred

  • Interest in taking on leadership responsibilities within the office under the operations manager and office director. This could include process improvements, finances, and/or training.
