David Evans And Associates Construction Project Engineer in Denver, Colorado

DEA is currently seeking aConstructionProject Engineerfor our ConstructionEngineering Services team in ourDenver, CO office. The successful candidateshould have a BSCE in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, orsimilar degree and should be a licensed Professional Engineer preferablyregistered in the state of Colorado. This position willprovide on-siteconstruction management and inspection for roadway and bridge projects insupport of our clients.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Supervise, direct, coordinate, monitor, and manage project inspectorsand materials testers in the field or officeCoordinate and communicate effectively with Owners, Contractors, or otherfield engineering staffReview construction for conformance with contract plans and specificationsReview, analyze, and monitor Contractor's project schedules and methodstatementsReview and process Shop/Working Drawings submitted by ContractorReview, analyze, and approve Contractor's Methods of Handling TrafficPerform or manage daily quality control inspections of construction activitiesCoordinate for required materials sampling and testingPrepare monthly pay estimates and monitor project financial statusAnalyze and evaluate Contractor disputes or claimsPrepare and maintain monthly reports and documentation as required by OwnerConduct final project inspections and project acceptance documentationBasic Qualifications:6 plus years of construction management and inspection experience working onroadway, bridge and highway construction projectsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, orsimilar degreeProfessional Engineering License in the United StatesAbility to work effectively with client representatives, contractors, thepublic, as well as peers and subordinatesWorking experience of Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, and/or FederalHighway Administration (FHWA) specifications and standardsPreferred Qualifications:CDOT or local agency experience inspecting or managing federally fundedconstruction projectsDemonstrated project planning, management, and project execution skills insuccessfully completing projects on time and within budgetBridge/Structures construction inspection experienceAbility to utilize computer systems (CDOT AASHTOWare Project SiteManager,MS Project or Primavera) as a tool to effectively manage projectsProfessional Engineering License in the State of ColoradoBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings and Lifestyle Spending Account with employer contributionSupport for continuing education and training opportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holiday Pay401k and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Flexible 9/80 (every other Friday off) work scheduleHolistic Wellbeing Program with a focus on physical, emotional,financial, career and community healthOpportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professionalgoalsAnticipated salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000 and isbased on applicable experienceTransportation Jobs with DEAThe increasing complexities of modern transportation include growingdemands, aging infrastructure, rising costs, funding challenges, andenvironmental concerns.
