Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR Engineering is looking for a Bridge EIT/Inspector to join our Denver,CO team. The Bridge EIT/Inspector will be expected to perform bridgeinspection and occasional office engineering (design, CADD, analysis).They will also assist the lead inspector in performing bridge inspections andpreparing reports in accordance with NBIS (National Bridge InspectionStandards) on a regular basis. In the role of Bridge EIT/Inspector, we'll count on you to: Participate in bridge inspections, develop inspection reports, andperform structural load calculations Work in a team environment and independently while challenging yourselfto acquire knowledge and experience in engineering Support the bridge design group and other disciplines by applyingstructural engineering and detailing techniques in the development ofstructural designs Perform other duties as neededQualificationsRequired Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering required 0 years' bridge/structural experience and entry-level candidatepreferred; however, prior bridge/structural experience will be considered Must be willing to work with other disciplines (bridge design,roadway design, hydraulic analysis, stream restoration, planning,traffic control) within the office, as necessary, during inspection downtime Must possess a valid driver's license, and have the ability to travelfor multiple night stays during the week. This position requires physical ability to perform field inspections ofin-service bridge and culvert structures, highway structures, overheadsign structures, hydraulic structures, and metal traffic signal poles.Physical demands include positioning extension ladders, maneuvering smallboats, driving long distances, confined space, air travel,occasionally working at night, and walking long distances on uneven surfaces Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have goodcommunication skills and be willing to work in multi-disciplinary teamenvironment. Candidate should expect exposure to environmental hazards, such as,but not limited to, warm and cold temperatures, water, work-at-height,poisonous plants, snakes, ticks, spiders, and other creatures An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culturePreferred Qualifications MS in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred EIT certification strongly preferred.
