TRC Environmental Corp. Assistant Resident Engineer -- Water/Wastewater in Denver, Colorado

TRC serves a broad rangeof clients in industry and government, implementing complex projects frominitial concept to delivery and operation.OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer that will beresponsible for the administration of the construction contract as well as tolead multiple/concurrent projects. All incoming and outgoing projectdocumentation is channeled through the Resident Engineer, who has signatoryauthority for all project issuances to the client and contractor.Candidate must have experience working on water, wastewater treatmentsystems and stormwater projects such as water and wastewater treatmentplants, water storage facilities, pipelines, pump stations, stormwaterpollution prevention plan and stormwater facilities for projects with MBRexperCandidate must have experience working in a team environment. Candidate musthave the ability to perform, ordirect and supervise field constructionadministration activities and staff, office engineering, inspection,materials testing, field contract administration, and to act as liaisonwith clients/owners, consultants, contractors, design professionalsand regulatory agencies.ResponsibilitiesMakes significant and final determinations regarding contract administrationMaintains constructive relationships with the contractor and clientProject safety --Conducts/attends bi-weekly Safety meetingsOversees and monitors the safety of TRC personnelMonitors the contractor's safety programHas knowledge of the pertinent contract documents and references specific tothe projectUnderstands, interprets and makes sound engineering determinations regardingcontract documentsExercises sound engineering judgment and follows through on determinationsmade during oversight of all field operationsResolves or facilitates the resolution of all discrepancies or problems withcontract documents and issues arising from field operationsReviews and analyzes contract change and payment requests based on workprogress and makes recommendations to management or ownersCreates and maintains open and productive communications among subordinates,sub-consultants, TRC management, contractors, clients and the publicVerifies all contract documentation is generated timely and filed in properorderReceives and generates all contract correspondenceRequirementsBS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering plus 3 years' experienceover seeing CM projectsOr 10 years in Construction Management and experience in marketing andbusiness development.CMIT, CCM, EIT or PE License preferred.Familiar with Procore, ASTM, AWWA, EJCDC, CSI, Primavera and Microsoft ProjectTRC is an equal opportunity employer: disability/veteran.
