Job Description SummaryProject Engineers has a range of responsibility within the engineering group.As directed by the group General Manager or Engineering Manager,responsibilities may range from individual project engineering ownershipassignments to individual project management assignments as well as being ageneral technical resource to the group. In the latter case, this mayinclude team level contribution for general project design review(s),mentoring, internal or external training or technology presentations,direct contribution for project requisitions and/or purchasing decisions,including contact and communication with the group's fabrication andassembly pSenior level employees also may assist in planning and forecasting thebusiness needs of the group which can include quarterly as well as annualoperational and capital spending plans. Senior level engineers work with otherproject managers and project engineers under the guidance of the engineeringmanager to devise policies and procedures in the areas of engineering andproject execution, procurement, administrative and material management,and all the of the standard practices (SOP's) that support the businessand business plan.Primary Responsibilities:Understanding and complying with company safety policies and procedures asrelated to this position, including reading all relevant safetyliterature, using required protective equipment and practicing goodhousekeeping.Preparing system proposals and scope of supply documents, to includepreliminary process design description, budgetary and firm cost estimates,and customers' cost of system ownershipProviding guidance to the design team in the modification of system PFDs,P&IDs, proposal and project drawings, as required, and specifying componentsDeveloping pilot test protocol/procedures and providing technical supportfor the Field Service team, as well as preparing pilot report after analysisof pilot test dataProviding technical assistance to:Project teams; Provides direction and engineering support with currentprojects as directed,Field Service teams; Provides direction and engineering support forinstallation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of/for all systems andprojects as directed.Interacts as directed with the Sales and/or Marketing teams to:establish/define customer requirementsevaluate alternative design approaches considering available technologiesDeveloping and preparing process and project submittals and operations andmaintenance manualsStays abreast of technology in key application areasIs a key advisor to the Group's Engineering and General Manager's in allmatters technical, business risk, safety and personnel.Position Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:10+ years proven industrial process water and municipal water treatmentprocess design and application experience.Exposure and expertise in a wide range of water treatment technologies andprocesses, including both municipal drinking water as well as wastewater andindustrial process. water treatment and design.A background and knowledge base in filtration, ion-exchange and membranetreatment systems.Capable of preparing water treatment system conceptual design includingtechnology selection, sizing, etc.Reads and comprehends fabrication drawings, including means and methods offabrication.Strong analytical and problem solving skills and must work well with others.Possesses strong organizational skills, demonstrates initiative,creativity as a self-starter working under little to no supervision.The ability to work together as a team member on all aspects of the job,including the sales effort, process design and development, engineering,procurement, project management, manufacturing and assembly, service,startup and troubleshooting.Capable of promoting business growth through product and project development.Provide technical training to application engineering, business developmentmanagers, ...
