We have a potential opportunity for a Strategic Planning/Requirements Journeyman in Colorado Springs.
Work closely with AFSPC staffs to develop a Resilient Enterprise Ground (REG) concept; collaborate/liaise with all REG stakeholders. Lead working groups as necessary to develop the draft REG concept. Participate in all REG related meetings as necessary. Develop all documents required to staff the REG Concept. Resolve/incorporate and make recommended changes for all comments to the REG Concept and use Task Management Tool (TMT).
Capture potential changes to policy strategies, doctrine, law and regulations to identify risks/opportunities and dependencies to provide accurate and expert recommendations for REG planning, management and execution.
Capture the impact of emerging technologies ensuring they fit (are mature enough) the desired REG outcome of space systems that are more agile, maneuverable, flexible and responsive.
Support studies and analysis efforts, support quick-turn responses to higher headquarters' requests for reviews of studies, plans, papers, briefings, congressional inquiries, and congressional testimony preparation.
Review documents such as enabling concepts, system concepts, vision, Commander's Intent, and Science and Technology Needs, and provide analyses, input and recommendations.
Support meetings and review system concept documents from a requirements manager perspective.
Prepare papers, briefings and other staff products, facilitate meetings, support presentation of briefings, and deliver meeting minutes.
Required qualifications include:
BA/BS; Master's Degree is desired
5 years’ space experience with 2 years’ space operational-/ strategic-level C2 experience and 2 years’ requirements experience (preferred) including demonstrated:
Knowledge of operations requirements development/CBA/AoA processes; identifying requirements / acquisition / budgeting process interdependencies; JCIDS process & staffing products
Knowledge of application of emerging concepts to system development.
Knowledge of space satellite command/control (C2) units, weapon systems, and architectures
Knowledge of CONOPS/ICD/CDD/CPD/ KPPs/KSA/NR-KPP
Knowledge of operational-/strategic-level C2 structures/operating/system concepts and new systems concepts development process; tactical, operational and strategic C2 operational and development stakeholders
Knowledge of operations transition and fielding requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required
